Principles
No black boxes. No one true score.
Saluud separates product facts from rating opinions, then lets you choose the lens that fits your body, household, values, and context.
- Label capture
- Saluud reads ingredients, nutrition, claims, warnings, product type, and market context as separate facts instead of flattening the label into one badge.
- Evidence status
- Each fact can be observed, incomplete, conflicting, or unavailable. Missing data stays visible because “not listed” and “not checked yet” are different.
- Provenance and place
- Products vary by country, retailer, formula, package, and date. Saluud keeps source and market context visible so a result does not pretend to be more universal than it is.
- Lenses and Calibrations
- A lens defines what matters to you: allergens, sugar, sodium, processing, additives, fragrance terms, packaging concerns, or a custom mix.
- No ministry of truth
- Saluud does not ask everyone to accept one official rating. Different experts, creators, families, and communities can share lenses, and you can inspect or tune the assumptions.
- Freedom to disagree
- If a default classification or weighting feels wrong, Saluud lets you choose another lens instead of hiding the disagreement behind authority.
- Driver breakdowns
- Results show the biggest reasons behind a fit or warning so you can decide whether the tradeoff matters in real life.
- Privacy-minded health context
- Allergies, goals, and optional lab context can shape personal-fit explanations, with visible signals, no diagnosis claims, and careful privacy controls.
- Standards as data
- When third-party programs publish criteria, Saluud treats them as versioned rules with provenance, not as borrowed certification or hidden authority.
- Community feedback
- User reports, corrections, adverse reactions, and common overrides can improve future defaults while still preserving individual choice.
- Change awareness
- Products and research change. Saluud is built to show when label evidence was last updated and when a result depends on limited information.
