Product labels look simple until you try to compare them across brands, retailers, countries, and product types.
The hard part is not only reading the words on the package. It is knowing when a fact was observed, which source it came from, whether the package has changed, and which parts of the label are missing.
Missingness matters
A product page that hides missing data can feel cleaner, but it is less useful. Saluud is built around visible missingness because a blank field and a verified absence are not the same thing.
Preferences differ
There is no single correct way to evaluate every product. A parent, a cosmetic ingredient educator, a dietitian, and a pet owner may all care about different tradeoffs.
That is why Saluud treats scoring as configurable policy rather than universal authority.
Public pages should be useful without overclaiming
The public web should help people understand the method, find a product, and notice uncertainty. When Saluud has not verified enough about a label yet, the honest answer is to say what is still missing.
